“Although I am less than the least of all God’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.” Ephesians 3: 8
Welcome to Unsearchable Riches! So named because that’s what I have in Christ.
I’ve tried to make this website a lot of things in the past ranging from all writing advice to all book reviews to - well, whatever. It never works because as soon as I attempt to pigeon-hole myself I get cagey and can’t think of anything to write that I’m ’supposed to’. So it’s just my website, where I talk about whatever I’d like. It just so happens that most often, that’s books and food.
Things I love: singing. music (especially musical theatre soundtracks), food (especially Italian, Mexican, and most Asian), parks and trees, water but not the beach, jewel tone colors, noodles, sunshine, mornings, warm rain, fairy tales, cats and small dogs, good bread, the Bible and sharing my faith, and spending time by myself or with Toady.
Things I don’t love: being cold, any edible form of pig, insomnia, cleaning the bathroom or floors, being clumsy (I am SUCH a klutz), night time (I have horrid vision), driving.
I have a BA in English/Creative Writing from Eastern University. They gave me the award for Most Potential when I graduated. Drollerie Press published my short story, “The Blood Myth,” in its anthology Straying from the Path. I write what I love to read. I’m happily married to a mad scientist teacher referred to on the blog as Toady.
Some of my favorite writers are Kristin Cashore, Lisa Mantchev, Joshilyn Jackson, Lilith Saintcrow, and Jeri Smith-Ready.
